The fractional executive market has grown at a rate no one predicted. Senior leaders across every discipline are choosing fractional careers - and finding, quickly, that the skills required to thrive are entirely different from the skills that got them to the C-suite.
Pricing engagements. Scoping without scope creep. Managing four clients without losing any of them. Building a pipeline with no employer brand behind you. None of this is taught. There is no structured pathway, no recognised credential, and no peer community built for the specific challenges of fractional work.
The Fractional Institute exists to change that.

You are doing the work. You are good at it. You want a credential that reflects that - and a peer cohort of people operating at the same level. The Fractional Institute Certified designation tells clients you have been vetted, trained, and benchmarked against the best.

What you need to know.
The Fractional Institute is a practitioner-led programme and credential for senior executives building or refining a fractional practice. It is built on the Fractional Global network - 250+ senior leaders across 20+ cities. We train, certify, and connect fractional executives to a standard the market has been missing.
Two audiences: experienced executives transitioning to fractional work, and existing fractional executives who want a recognised credential and peer community. You will typically have 10+ years of VP, Director, or C-level experience.
MBAs teach general management theory. We teach the specific skills fractional executives need - pricing engagements, managing multiple clients, scoping work, building pipeline, and delivering outcomes without a full-time seat. Every instructor is an active fractional executive, not an academic.
Hybrid. The foundation phase is self-paced and async. Cohort sessions are live (90 minutes, optimised for executives). Delivered across multiple time zones - EMEA, APAC, and Americas.
Application-only. We review every application individually and select for executive experience, commitment, and readiness to contribute to the cohort. This is not a course you buy - it is a programme you are accepted into.
